A noren is a curtain that hangs at entrances or in doorways in Japanese homes and businesses; in the latter, often bearing the shop’s logo or name and address. This piece was originally a solid indigo rectangle with the vertical strip of purple dragonfly fabric on the right, probably used to cover a futon. I added components and converted it to a noren.
